I saw this for $10 and though well, don't expect much. But it was cheap and I went ahead and got it. Now, before this I was just charging my batteries in my mod and they had to charge overnight. When I tried this unit, it was about 4 hours to charge 3500mah batteries from completely dead to full using a wall adapter (not included, but who doesn't have like 500 of these things laying around these days?). It never gets hot. It makes really good contact with the batteries. It's small enough to fit in your pocket if you want to take it with you. Standard USB cord means you use it in any country without any kind of power converter or plug adapter, just pop it in any USB slot. Micro USB plug on the unit itself means its easy to find a replacement cord if the supplied one wears out. You can charge just one battery if you need to, it doesn't need to have both slots filled to work like some chargers. Turns out this was a great deal. I can't find anything negative to say about it. If you need a charger and you have $10, get this one.
I have used this for 3 days now and charged batteries over night and they still will not get to full charge. You need replacement batteries if you intend on using this, that way you can charge while using the others.
I must admit I was skeptical.
How in the world can they make this in China, ship it all over the globe, and sell it on-line for ten bucks and still make a profit???!!!
My device takes a single 18650. I bought 3 of the HG2's. You insert one or two batteries and come back in c. 3 - 4 hours and your batteries are fully charged. What more could you possibly want??? And again, all this magic for only ten dollars. :)
It has a very durable plastic case. The strong spring sliders keep the batteries snugly intact. The green status lights start blinking from the bottom up and reflect the approximate amount of charge. When all 3 lights for one side, or all 6 lights for both battery bays, reach the top, you're done. It's totally amazing, folks. Buy one! I'm out of the loop, but I'd be willing to wager you might spend more on a meal at McDonald's...
I've used with both wall adapter and car adapter and it worked equally well. Unit got slightly warm when using a 2A car adapter but batteries stayed cool. It does independent charging as indicated - I put in one full discharged & one half discharged and the light indicators (1 & 2 respectively) indicated the charge state. 3 lights steady when fully charged. Would buy again. Free shipping was quick.
This is a small charger with a USB. I charged both my Sony VTC5 2600mAh 30A 18650 Batteries using this, which were both dead and this charger charged both of them in about 4 hours together. I bought this because it is simple to use and cheap. All the other ones have all this extra stuff that I don't need for 3 times the price. I rated it 4 stars because the Instructional Manual isn't right. It said when the battery is fully charged all 3 lights will blink but when they are fully charged all 3 lights stop blinking so you just have 3 green lights on. When batteries are dead the bottom light blinks while charging. Then when the battery is almost half way charged the second light (the middle green light) blinks and then when the battery is almost charged the third light (the top green light) blinks and once your battery is fully charged all 3 lights are just green with no blinking so you can then use them. I also rated it 4 stars because I wish it had a wall adapter because I'm not always around a USB port to charge my batteries but that is a simple fix by buying a wall adapter. This is great for a newbie and for you to have in your car or take to work with you. It would also be great for travel since it's small enough to take with you anywhere and hey if you forget somewhere it is only $10. I would buy this again for sure.
