I have, or i should say, had, two of these. I never bothered to send it in for the recall. Worked fine for me, and am usually careful when it comes to putting batteries in. I normally keep them in a pocket with tanks on them. Always have to check the wattage or joules before i fire as they frequently change in pocket. Set a couple wics on fire already. It takes an extra step to turn off which can be annoying, and takes 10-15 secs to turn back on. Would have been nicer with a lock feature. The front panel is loose on both of them. Dropped one from 3ft, battery door broke off and front panel that holds buttons in broke off. The only problem i have with the battery doors are they pop when I'm building on the mod, and once in a while if i put it down hard. The latch could benefit from a bigger locking notch. The temp control on ss316l works, but isn't great. Dry burn at 420 usually singes the cotton. Those are a lot of cons, but i still like it a lot. Primarily because of the small size, but also fires nice and fast.
Favourite mod to date. Unbelievably small for a dual 18650. Perfect weight. Had no issue with door popping open as others have mentioned.
Only complaints are that you can't save presets like you could on other iPV devices and there's no wattage lock. Hopefully they release a iPV6x-Mk2 with those software issues fixed and maybe round the top and bottom edges a bit more
Pro's: Compact design, nice look, light weight, really feels good in your hand, and provides a great vape.
Con"s: No memory settings like the iVP5 which I utilized for different tanks/coil builds. Cannot lock Power adjustment settings . The battery door is easily pops open.
My solution for the battery door is to use a wide rubber band around the base to prevent accidental openeing. Shame since this is such a nice looking Mod :-(
Only negative I could think of is the way Pioneer4you rushed these to market and beat the 8-8-2016 FDA cut off date. In doing so they did not spend some extra time to add reverse polarity protection possibly endangering a new vapor getting into a run away firing without stopping until the batteries are removed and installed in the recommended battery placement. With so many cheaper devices on the market that have the RPP left me somewhat disappointed especially since I bought two to give away.
Had this had the RPP I would have given it 5 Stars.
I don't think we will ever see a IPV7 unless the FDA is stripped of some of its power to regulate this industry.
So to sum up everything, be careful of who you vote for as president. Please vote for the candidate that has no history of being a habitually liar.
Just got my IPV6x, it's tiny, much smaller than I expected but it has a good heavy weight to it. It's built solid and no rattling. Very powerful especially considering its size. No lag when hitting the fire button. I like it
This is, with the possible exception of the $200 q class, is the best mod of 2016. And it won't be surpassed until the IPV 7.
If batteries are installed improperly, there is a chance this device will auto-fire. When polarity is reversed, safety features will disable. Ensure proper installation of batteries before using your IPV 6X Device. We recommend that you follow the instruction manual closely when using your iPV 6X.
