We test drove one for ourselves, here’s what we found out.
Construction / Appearance
The Swag PX80 has a rugged zinc-alloy chassis construction that is meant to withstand the elements. It has a nice heft, but being a pod/box mod hybrid, it manages to have a more compact form factor than the typical box mod. The chassis also features classy, timeless leather side looks that feel ergonomic and great to the touch. The PX80 comes in a variety of gorgeous colorways, from Gunmetal Grey, to Imperial Red, to Emerald Green, and more. The appearance is rounded out by the beautiful 0.69″ OLED display screen, which shows you all the crucial vape stats you’re looking for. All in all, this is a highly durable and attractive device.
Power / Operation
The Swag PX80 is built to perform. A single high-amp 18650 battery drives up to 80 watts of sub ohm hybrid pod/box power. Simply press the intuitive firing button to activate the super-sonic 0.001s firing speed. This incredible firing speed is achievable due to the innovative AXON chipset which acts as the brains of this brawny beast. The cutting-edge chipset also allows you to select between a variety of modes of operation, including Power Mode, Power ECO Mode, and Pulse Mode.
However, we can’t discuss this pod device without talking about the Swag pod. This pod has a generous 4 mL vape juice capacity, perfect for sub ohm sessions. Fewer refills means more satisfaction! However, when you do need to refill, the Quarter-Turn Top Fill System makes it a breeze. Magnetic Pod Connection and Press-Fit Coil Installation and makes swapping pods and coils a piece of cake. In addition, the Adjustable Rotating Airflow controls allow you to regulate the pace of your session. However, the most innovative feature here is the E-Liquid Self-Circulation System, which keeps your favorite vape juice flavor blended to perfection to ensure the highest quality experience.
Vapor Production / Experience
Given its variable output range, the Swag PX80 is suitable for a variety of vaping applications. The two adjustment buttons make shifting gears as easy as possible.
However, we’ve found the device is the most fun when pushed to its cloud chasing limits. This is a great vape for DTL sub ohm cloud generation. Just refill the epic 4 mL pod with a MAX VG vape juice and watch the epic plumes unfold…
Conclusion
Vaporesso has really hit it out of the park with this one. The PX80 manages to take the best aspects of pod mods and box mods and combine them into something special.
